Please join us for worship, study, fulfillment and fun! is a 30 year-old Reform Jewish Congregation, affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism and a member of the Synagogue Council of Massachusetts, located on the historic Boston Post Road in the suburban setting of Wayland, Massachusetts. We support a Religious School of over 450 children. Congregants have grown up, or participated, in orthodox, conservative, and reform environments. We hold a music-filled Simchat Shabbat service at 6:15 pm on Fridays using a prayerbook of our own creation. On Saturdays we have an 8:30 am Shacharit morning service followed by Torah study at 9:15 am. There is also a late Shacharit service at 10:45 am when students become B’nai Mitzvah. Purim Celebration 2009 We have families of all ages from young families with no children to empty nesters. We support programming directed at all of these groups. Over the past several years we have added and enhanced programs such as a re-invigorated social action program (Tekiah), a significantly expanded Youth program including trips and outside programs for each grade level, and a comprehensive set of adult learning opportunities on both weekdays and weekends. We hold a comprehensive Jewish Explorations Weekend annually, and have groups such as Reyim for empty nesters, an Israel Connection Committee, Kesher - a caring community, active Brotherhood and Sisterhood groups, and STIFTY, a NFTY-affiliated Youth group for teens. Special monthly Tot Shabbats for younger children and now youth and teen participatory Shabbat morning services are held regularly. 6th Grade Shabbatathon at Great Barrington 2009 Special events include a Brotherhood-sponsored golf tournament, Rabbi-led congregational trips to Israel, Cantorial Concerts, and this year in May, Shir Tikva Players produced a fully staged production of Fiddler on the Roof showcasing the extraordinary talents of Shir Tikva members and to celebrate TST's 30th anniversary!
